EAG Laboratories is looking for an Organic Synthesis Scientist to join our St. Louis lab. At EAG, you will be part of a diverse team of research chemists and scientists responsible for chemical analysis. Our chemical testing lab offers deformulation (reverse engineering), contaminant identification, custom synthesis of small organic molecules, failure analysis, litigation support and expert witness services. In this position, the individual must be able to perform the following:·        In addition to synthesis skills, support on the analytical chemistry side of the lab is desired. Expectations includes:Design experiments with limited assistance from management and/or experienced scientistsInterpret analytical data from GC-MS instrumentation and apply understanding to solving a specific problemApply additional analytical data from techniques such as LC-MS, FTIR, NMR and ICP in solving a specific problemWrite scientific reports fit for the audience that includes specific conclusions, exact methodology, and supporting analytical dataWork comfortably in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlinesMaintain analytical instrumentation and troubleshoot problems when necessaryAuthor standard operating procedures and demonstrate the ability to follow proceduresCollaborate effectively in a team environmentCommunicate constructively with other scientists and managersExhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office (Including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)67081
